Intermediate Screenprinting Course Information
2 Day Course: 10.30 am - 5.30 pm
There will be a lunch break from 1.30 - 2.30.
Tea and coffee breaks will be provided.
This is an intermediate course for the techniques of screenprinting. The course is designed and structured to instil good workshop practice in the participants and to provide an opportunity to refine and master the process of screenprinting.
While there will be an emphasis on multi-layer printing, registration and colour and participants will be working on their own image, there is no time to complete work for other specific purposes (Exhibition/Publication etc). This course is seen as a further learning opportunity and should be used to improve your skills and professional practice in the studio
Course contents:
• Preparing images for multi-layer/colour printing
• Colour choice and mixing
• Preparing the press/materials for editioning
• Registration and printing
Please bring:
• Digital images (on a memory stick) up to A4
• Drawings or ideas for drawings to add to digital images
Please wear suitable clothing as you will be working with ink and other screen print materials. Aprons and all materials are provided.
Wear sturdy and appropriate shoes: e.g., trainers, closed leather shoes or work boots - NOT open-toed sandals, flip-flops or you might be refused entrance to the studio.
Please arrive promptly for courses as time is limited. It is essential to attend each day of the course.
